Cars for Sale in Florida - What's Going On In The Market?
If you are looking for a brand-new car, you may want to wait for the models that are expected to be launched next year. Despite the economic crisis, most manufacturers still plan to expand their offers. Soon Florida will host one of the most important Auto Shows in USA - the 39th annual South Florida International Auto Show in Miami Beach. Planned between October 23 and November 1, it will be the first of the major North American Shows and therefore the first possibility to see all the new-year models under one roof. It will be followed by a smaller event - 2010-Model Central Florida International Auto Show in Orlando at the end of November. Among the most expected cars for sale in Florida are: Hyundai’s luxury sedan - Equus, electric vehicle from Mitsubishi (knows as i-MiEV), BMW ActiveHybrid 7 and BMW ActiveHybrid X6. There will be also many new versions of the already available cars for sale.
Cars For Sale In The ‘Cash For Clunkers’ Program
In order to help the troubled automotive industry, the government introduced in July the Cash for Clunkers program (The Car Allowance Rebate System). The idea was to give a rebate to each person who decided to scrap an old vehicle and buy a new more eco-friendly and fuel-efficient one. The end date was first set at November 1, 2009, however the program was such a success that the $3 billion allocation was exhausted in August.
The ‘Cash for Clunkers’ program is over, but there are already some signs that the prices of cars for sale in Florida have risen as a result, especially for older models. The Department of Transportation announced that as a result of the scheme, 700,000 clunkers have been taken off the roads. And when supply falls, prices rise.
The summer months have brought many changes to car market. As a result of the Cash for Clunkers program, some manufacturers reported record sales, while dealers of used cars had to increase prices which discouraged some potential clients. Florida drivers are now waiting for the International Auto Show to see what new cars will appear on the roads next year.
