Discover Engineering Day is a celebration of National Engineers Week, held February 14-20, 2010. National Engineers Week was founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers and is dedicated to increasing public awareness and appreciation of engineers and to encourage young people's interest in science, technology and engineering.
